If you used Camp Compass, we would like to hear how it went. Not a review. What actually happened. Where you were, how turned around you got, and whether the arrow brought you home.

It does not have to be a dune. If you marked a spot hunting, hiking, fishing, running a forest road, or just parked at a trailhead in country where everything looks the same, that counts. The tool does not care what you ride or whether you ride at all.

We ask for two reasons. People trust people who have actually been out there far more than they trust a website, so your story is what convinces the next family to set it up before they leave the house, while they still have a signal. And when the agencies who manage these places ask whether this network makes their area safer, we would rather hand them your words than ours.

If it did not work, tell us that too. A tool people rely on in a dead zone has to be honest about where it falls short. We would rather fix it than read about it later.

What makes a story useful

• Where you were, and what the ground looked like when you realized you were turned around
• Whether you had any signal at the time
• What Camp Compass showed you, and whether the distance and direction matched what you found
• How it ended

A few sentences is plenty. Rough and honest beats polished.
