Flags, lights and the no-walking rule
The park mixes day and night riding with family camping. Check flags, seating, restraints and lighting before the gate. Non-riders belong at the observation deck, not on foot in the riding area.

A separated rider needs a simple plan
Make your reserved campsite the regroup point, set an expected return and decide who acts if someone is late. Stop in a safe position before looking at a phone. Walking in the dune riding area is prohibited, so nobody should go out on foot to find a late rider.
Weather can end the outing
Carry water on each outing and shorten rides in the hottest hours. If thunder is audible, get into a substantial building or an enclosed metal-topped vehicle; a tent or an open buggy does not count.
