Arriving at North Sand Hills

From Walden: Highway 125 north, County Road 6 east, then County Road 6N.

From Walden to the sand

  1. Highway 125 north. BLM gives about 10 miles from Walden to the County Road 6 turn.
  2. County Road 6 east. Continue about 3.5 miles.
  3. Right onto County Road 6N. Continue about 2 miles toward the recreation area.

These are BLM’s approximate approach distances. They are not towing clearance or a campsite assignment. Check current road conditions and signs before continuing.
