Choose the town that fits your approach
Baker serves the I-15 approach from the south; Shoshone and Pahrump are other supply options named by BLM. Buy food, drinks, snacks, batteries and water before committing to camp. Fuel for the tow vehicle and fuel for the riding machines are separate items on the list.
BLM describes the Highway 127 approach as about 31 miles north of Baker, while its overview places the broader recreation area about 40 miles north. These are different reference descriptions, not a promise of the mileage to your camp. Use the arrival road and your chosen staging area when routing.
